Our next club meeting is this Wednesday, June 16, at 7:30am. This meeting will be IN-PERSON at the Bluffton Rotary Building. 

 

This meeting is our annual Charitable Giving Presentation.  George Holske will update us about the Charitable Giving Committee and our contributions this year to the Literacy Center, PEP, Family Promise, Bluffton Self Help, and The Boys & Girls Club.

Steve Miller, our Foundation Director announced and presented Dot Jeger with the Paul Harris Fellow +4 award at our last club meeting.  Please congratulate Dot the next time you see her! 

At our May 30th meeting, Deborah Burt gave a wrap-up presentation on the International Project in Peru. The community of Ocoto Alto is located in Peru’s northwestern region of Tambogrande, near Piura. Like many communities in Peru, Ocoto Alto lacks access to safe water and adequate sanitation facilities. The majority of the families in this small community earn an average monthly income of $22 as agricultural laborers.This project focused on helping to bring adeqaute sanitation facilities to the citizens of Ocoto Alto specifically by constructing latrines thoughout the community. We still need book donations for the two Little Free Libraries our club maintains. 

Please consider donating any children's or adult books so we can keep both little libraries fully stocked.
