Ashley Feaster took on the role of the HHAHBA's Executive Officer in 2006, coming from the D.C. area where she spent six years working for the National Home Builders Association.

The Home Builders Association of Hilton Head, chartered in 1965, is a local professional association whose membership has grown to over 500 member companies that include residential & light commercial builders and remodelers from Hilton Head Island and southern Beaufort County.

In addition to builder members, there are numerous professional tradesmen and supporting businesses that include but are not limited to subcontractors, retail and wholesale suppliers, architects, engineers, mortgage lenders, realtors, and many others.

For over 35 years, these professionals have joined together through the HBA of Hilton Head to improve all aspects of the building industry in our growing area. Members of the HBA recognize the importance of keeping pace with the fast changing technologies within the industry and improving their businesses through information provided by the state, local and national home builders publications and activities. They believe that their participation in the Home Builders Association is an investment in not only their company but the community as well, i.e. their annual scholarship program - (5) $1,500 awards, building playhouses for charities, and their current involvement with the Gullah Museum project on Gum Tree Road.

In addition to networking opportunities, the association also offers members professional development programs and focuses on keeping members up to date on government regulations.

The HHAHBA also sponsors several public education publications and events such as the association's Low Country Home Magazine and seminars on "green building" as well as the annual Home & Garden Show held at the Mall at Shelter Cove each February.
