President Wil Saleeby recently presented $1,500 checks to the Executive Director of The Children's Center, Janet Smith and to the Executive Director of Family Promise of Beaufort County, Emily Bugay.

The mission of The Children's Center is to provide high quality, high impact educational and child care services that is easily accessible for everyone, whatever their economic circumstances. Based on the motto "building communities, strengthen lives" Family Promise of Beaufort County is an interfaith organization that focuses on assisting families who have become homeless. The non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization has partnered with several dozen churches across the county who provide shelter for the families during their transition. More than three quarters of the families in the program move on to permanent, long-term housing.
